Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity has started their work a few years ago. Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity is a non profitable organization. Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity is also a non-governmental organization with social mission at Pabna, Bangladesh.
It is a completely non-political, non-profit non-governmental voluntary development organization. Our main scope of work is as follows.
The main objective of this project under Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity is to create educational opportunities for out-of-school and drop-out children aged 8 to 14 years from poor and disadvantaged families and bring them back to the conventional education system.
We have been taking and implementing the necessary activities under Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity to protect the health of poor men and women. Satellite camps are being conducted in the work area along with providing them with daily health care and various health related training.
Through this project, farmers have been trained under Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity on how to grow improved varieties of crops in groups and advice has been given on how farmers can be more profitable by producing improved varieties of crops on a commercial basis.
Protection of women and children from crises and risks has been taken by implementing various social security programs under the incentive package (Danta Samaj Kalyan Samity) to recover the distressed economic conditions during the Covid period. Apart from this, various programs are being implemented including social empowerment of women, gender equality in primary and secondary education, reduction of child and maternal mortality, reduction of child under five mortality, prevention of child marriage and awareness training on women's health protection.
Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity has been conducting tree planting projects by forming groups of poor people along various government roads of Pabna district since 1996 to increase the social forestry of the country and protect the natural balance.
Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity has been conducting various types of technical training such as: driving, sewing, computer training etc. with the aim of eliminating the unemployment problem in the work area with the registration of Bangladesh Technical Education Board and technical assistance.
Diganta Samaj Kalyan Samity is working on climate change and disaster management in remote areas. To change this situation, installation of arsenic-free tube wells, teaching methods of rainwater harvesting, plantation of various types of fruits and forest trees are distributed.
